The competition is open to home and hobby brewers, pub breweries, and even institutes and large breweries from anywhere in the world. Participation is free of charge. he winning beer will be brewed on a large scale and served at the Bestmalz booth at BrauBeviale in Nuremberg, where also the award ceremony will take place. The first-place winner will win a trip and overnight stay for him- or herself and a companion. Other prizes include lab beer analyses and awards for creative bottle labels and packaging. Each beer entered will be judged by professional sommeliers. This feedback will be sent to the brewers along with a participant T-shirt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The competition beer is to be brewed between 20th and 23rd April 2023 The period will thus be extended from one to four days as opposed to previous years. The final day will be German Beer Day on the 23rd of April 2023. The closing date for shipping competition beers is July 5, 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
